As you may have just read, Friday night was a great success in Glasgow City. Our second half of the outreach was on the following Sunday. The sanctuary was completely transformed into a beautiful candle lit and peaceful environment. Plenty of ladies in the church came to be apart of this night in doing different things for it. The night was called 'Simply Beautiful' and it was full of beauty treatments for everyone. Choices there were things like nails, hair, facials, massages, eyebrows and even foot spas! It was definitely well worth all the effort put into the whole weekend. God had such greater plans instore for this project than we had ever imagined! We had several visitors from the community come. We were so thrilled when two of the girls we had met on Friday in the streets came as well.

Outreach to the streets of Glasgow

On Friday the 27th January we had an opportunity to go out to the streets of Glasgow. Our aim was to show God's love to the homeless and the girls on the streets. We carried hot coffee, tea and soup to serve to anyone we encountered. We had great opportunities to share the gospel and pray for people. We also invited the girls to a special spa night at the church.

Ladies Bible Study

Hey, back so soon :)

This has already been a great year starting for Champion Life Church and again, we just can't wait to share about it! Our first week of January we had a ladies Bible study on the book of James. Our intern student Taryn taught the course of this week and had such a great time teaching it as well as preparing for it.

This week was titled "A walk in the park with James". A name partly out of pure irony that the book of James is anything less than a walk in the park. But also to describe each chapter as we walked through it. Learning how to "live it" when our dear friend James takes us through different emotions on our "walk in the park" together. I'm sure you know the kind of walks I mean... those most priceless and honest times with friends that encourage you to press on in life wherever you're at.

The outcome of this week was far beyond expectations and a divine appointment for each one of us individually! Every night was full of God through prayer, His very presence, His word and His gentle whispers to us. So amazing. A few weeks have passed since the Bible study and you can tell by some of these ladies, that it was not just something they appreciated but they applied. That it did more than touch them but changed them. God is so good!

Hello from Scotland! We are excited to post these next few blogs up and show you some of the most recent photos of the events we have organised in Champion Life Church in Scotland.

We have worked hard trying to reach out to more people in our community and loving those who are already part of our church family.

These photos are from our December Talent Show and Christmas Party. Three new families came from the community to this fun night of lots of lauhter and good food. People from our own church family got so excited to show of their talents, we had talents from "Abba Dancing Queen Show " to a more traditional poem reading and childrens puppet show.

Everyone had so much fun and new relationships were built.

Taryn Brogan

We are sooo thankful to God for the newest addition to our family...Taryn Brogan! God has sent an intern student from Church of the Living God in Manchester, CT to us for the next three months. She arrived here on November 15th and will stay with us until February.

This is a second time for having Taryn here with us. She helped us in various ministry tasks in July and August. We are so blessed to have her come back for this next season! She has a heart for ministry and is a true servant for what ever needs to get done. She will be involved with the children's work, with women's ministry and discipling with few of the youth from the church. She is also doing a lot of administration and helping us with behind the scenes of running ministry. Please keep us all in prayer as we advance the Kingdom of God in Scotland!

Kids Carnival - October 31

On October 31st (Halloween night), we had our 2nd annual Kids Carnival at Champion Life Church. We had a night full of candy, music, prizes, decorations, lights, and smoke machine; followed by a 10 minute gospel message of who Jesus is. Although we as a church do not celebrate the festivity, we do take advantage (knowing 100's of kids are going to be in the area trick-or-treating) - so we open our church doors to share the love of Jesus. This gives us, (a church), to work together as a team, grow as a church family, and spread the good news. Around 130 children showed up along with many parents. God is turning things around in Glasgow City!

Days of His Presence (Woman's Conference)

Well, the street was lined with cars, and Champion Life Church was full with approximately 120 woman at a conference called "Days of His Presence." This conferenece went on from 10am - 4:30pm in the afternoon. The day was started by a powerful time of worship along with the Word being preached, and a wonderful lunch being served to fill everybody's appetite. There were woman there from different churches and denominational steams. It was a time for hearts to be challenged and deeply impacted by what was preached, and further themselves in God. Like the Psalmist said in Psalm 126:3, "The LORD has done great things for us, and we are all filled with joy."

This past weekend from Fri, Sept 9 - Tues, Sept 13 we had a worshipping warrior with us from Bethel Church in Bristol, CT. Sarah Renker is a traveling missions evangelist and worship leader from her home church. We have built relationship with Sarah by way of her churches support to our ministry in Scotland, UK. She ministers powerfully in prophetic worship, and has a gifted anointing to change the common everyday Christian to somebody who is radical and on fire for God. She is a freedom fighter in the spirit, raising people to new levels in their walk with Christ, and a Kingdom "ice-breaker" with the ability to melt the coldest heart. Her passion for deep intimacy with Jesus is evident, and changes the atmosphere whever the Lord leads her. The Lord through Sarah, has definatley made an impact on Champion Life Church in Scotland, UK.

Taryn Brogan was our intern student in August. She comes fom Manchester, CT, and is part of Church of the Living God where Paul and Heini's American home church is. As Taryn was with us for four weeks she served as a personal assistant to us in the ministry and our family. Wherever she could help out she did, and did things with excellence. She also put together a full week of Vacation Bible School for the children in our church, and was part of speaking at our church woman's conference, which was led by Heini. She did an outstanding job, and would be welcomed back any time.

Hello from Scotland!!!

Since the month of March we have been priviledged to host Glasgow Prophetic Center on Monday nights at Champion Life Church. Emma Stark, director of GPC, has been teaching on the topic "School of the Supernatural." We have seen over 150 people come out each night. Worship & the teaching has been powerful.

Emma is a gifted bible teacher with a prophetic calling on her life. God is using this gift in her, and as well in others, to reach not only the church and edify God's people, but to also reach the lost who are looking for the supernatrual in the wrong places. Emma has brought forth a biblical perspective on topics such as: the believer's authority, angels & how God uses them in our lives, open heavens, signs, wonders & the miraculous power of God available for every Christian's life. Scottish Youth - March 22

On Tuesday, March 22 Youth Alive Scotland (which Paul has part in leading) had a great turn out of over 300 young people come to a major conference. Reggie Dabbs from Florida came to Glasgow to move and provoke young people in living for God for one purpose - LOVE! God's Spirit moved amongst us, and Brother Reggie, through life experiences was able to relate to the Scottish youth in significant ways! Many came to the Lord this night. Praise God! Young people committing their hearts to Jesus!

David Walters is a family revivalist, also author of "Kid's in Combat" and "Children of Revival." He was with us for March 25-27 and made an impact on Champion Life Church and other churches who were invited. He has a vision for the whole family - children do not have a junior Holy Spirit - God uses everyone! Qualifications? An open an hungry heart... -Many children encountered God's presence in worship -Older children and adults were impacted by preaching -Over 20 children at our church had a significant encounter with God -There was the salvation of a teenager -Adults were healed of various health issues -People were united to birth families into all God has for them -The peace of the Holy Spirit continued to move through the "tension." Testimonies regarding the children: 1. One young man who has been around for some time but never prepared to take that final step of committment came through to faith on Sunday after David prayed for all the kids/youth. 2. David is prayed for by the children... 3. One young person was practically dragged to church, and was prayed for by David and felt fire in his feet, and the Spirit washing over him over and over like water. He hasn't stopped talking about it.

4. Children were released in the prayer language of tongues.

5.) Two brothers were particularly impacted as they fell to the ground without anyone touching them and began to weep and cry out in other tongues for an extended period of time.

6. Children experienced a deeper hunger for God. One girl age 8 said, "I love the anointing part and praying for healing for the adults.

7. One boy age 10 said, "I enjoyed listening to Mr. Walter's."

8. A parent said, "My child had a really powerful encounter with God and we are very grateful for that being facilitated in her life.

9. A couple said, "Our children were very powerfully touched by God and now really appreciate how simple in many ways, it is to believe the Lord wants to heal, receive from him and go for it!

10. "I was very blessed by the meeting as Jesus turned up and used the little children. I can now walk without pain."

11. "My back is absolutely fine now - most definately healed! My sleep pattern has been altered for the good. (Man who was prayed for by the children)

Huddersfield, England Conference

Back in March Paul had an opportunity to go the Assemblies of God pastor/leaders conference. Some new changes of location was made for the main headquarters and other leadership changes took place too. Paul says, "the work being done in the Assemblies of God churches the U.K. (which covers England, Scotland, and Wales) is preparing for great things that God is doing to win the nations to Him. We are waging war over here for the end time revival, something powerful is about to be released!"

John Knox - The Great Reformer

John Knox was born in Haddington, Scotland, near Edinburgh in 1505; he died at the age of 68 in 1572. To seek to cover his life in 24 lines is almost criminal! He was Scotland's great Reformer. No individual altered the face of Scotland's religious history more than John Knox. His life is comparible to that of John Wesley of England or Martin Luther of Germany. He lived in a turbulent Scotland. His life was marked by controversy and misunderstanding, but then all of God's reformers are!

As an ordained priest in the Catholic Church at age 25, he served for the next 10 years. By 1545 Knox fell under the powerful influence of George Wishart, who was Scotland's "morning star" of Reformation. Wishart, being burnt at the stake in St. Andrew's, would forever mark the turning point in spiritual life of Knox. He renounced Catholicism, and openly professed the Protestant faith.

Through a tragic turn of events, Knox was taken captive, and spent 19 months in the galleries of a French ship. After his release, he continued pastoring in England and Geneva, where he encountered John Calvin.

In 1559, Knox was called back to fulfill the preaching at Edinburgh's historic St. Giles Cathedral. His house can still be seen today, located on the Royal Mile, yards from Edinburgh Castle. While ministering in Edinburgh, the great controversy between Knox, and Mary, Queen of Scots arised. Mary, a devoted Catholic with French sympathies, and Knox, a resolute Protestant with Scottish self-determination was sure to produce many sparks! The struggle is legendary, similar to another John and a wicked ruler who insisted on having his brothers wife! The only difference, Mary lost her head, instead of John!

Besides the great preaching and leadership of Scotland's Reformation, Knox produced two important articles, whick served to form the policy and future government of Scotland. 1) The First Book of Discipline and 2) The Book of Common Order

Throne Room Prayer

For the month of January we had felt to increase our prayer time with God. Such a hunger after God's presence has been stirring in the people at Champion Life Church. Throne Room prayer & worship on Sunday nights from 7-9pm. We also interject a 20 minute teaching for each night, on thru the month of March. The theme "Throne Room Training", is to teach people to rise up to the challenge of seeking God's face and heart like never before, and see what He may do in our lives individually, and as a church. We also have corporate prayer on every Tuesday morninig from 10-12pm and Tuesday nights from 7-9pm.

The men at Champion Life Church had an enjoyable night at Tony Roma's in Glasgow City. This is our kick start for reading the book "The Way of the Wild Heart." Pastor Paul will be bringing the men of Champion Life Church through this book to encourage them not to live life as a "fatherless lone ranger." "We aren't meant to figure life out on our own," says John Eldredge. "God wants to father us."

Life Has Meaning

Life Has Meaning is our monthly outreach to the Bridgeton people. This year we were out giving over 350 specially wrapped Christmas candles to the community. Many lives were prayed for and encouraged to "meet Jesus." It was a great time ministering to people the love of Jesus Christ. Here is a letter we received back from our acts of kindness:

Pastor & Apostle Hugh Clark is a father in the faith to Paul and Heini and Champion Life Church. He has acted as a spiritual covering for the church in drawing the church closer to God, and recently has challenged the church to walk in their authority over "spiritual flabbiness" and "keeping the house clean." His message came from Jesus cleansing the temple. Hugh has a real heart to train up sons in the faith to be empowered to do great things for God and develop a their personal relationship with Him more intimately.

This is Champions Youth Conference for November 2010. Paul is one of the three leaders on the Nat'l youth leaders team for Scotland Assemblies of God. The conference drew over 300 youth to give a little perspective of what things were like. The word is being preached, youth are getting saved and the young people are getting on fire! Hey everyone!

Last few weeks have been pretty historical in Scotland. For the whole 11 years we have been in Scotland it has never snowed this much or for this long...The country has been in standstill...For almost two weeks the schools were closed and we were stuck in the house. We received the "forced"rest gladly and played a lot in the snow with the kids. We managed to keep Sunday morning services going but weekly meetings had to be cancelled.

Friends of ours from another church donated us their old minibus recently. Praise God, this was the only vehicle that was able to get through the snow. Below is a picture of Paul trying to get the snow off from the roof of the minibus!

On Friday and Saturday October 29 & 30th Christians in
Glasgow, Scotland had a weekend that won't be forgotten.
Recently this year, a couple Philip & Sara Anderson from Glasgow
Elim Church started something called GHOP otherwise know as
Glasgow House of Prayer. The name orignated from Kansas City
Church organization IHOP which stands for International House
of Prayer. This powerful ministry of 24 hour focused prayer and
worship to God has become one of the most influencial throughout
the world, under the ministry of Dr. Mike Bickle. Earlier this year
the GHOP leaders decided to invite the IHOP team to Scotland. Our
first meeting was held on the Friday morning for pastors and leaders,
and around 100 people had turned up. It was a powerful morning of
preaching, prayer and worship in God's presence. This meeting was
held in Cambuslang Baptist Church.

In the 1700's a catalyst minister named William M'Culloch was the
minister then. He was know to be "an extremely learned and studious
person, and a conscientious pastor to his congregation, he was no great
preacher." But God used him...

"The Cambuslang Work or 'Wark' in the Scots language, (February to November 1742) was a period of extraordinary religous activity, in Cambuslang, Scotland. The event peacked in August 1742 when a crowd of some 30,000 gathered in the 'preaching braes' - a natural amphitheatre next to the Kirk at Cambuslang - to hear the great preacher George Whitfield call them to repentance and conversion to Christ. It was intimately connected with the similar remarkable revivalist events taking place throughout Great Britian and its American Colonies in New England, where it is known as The First Great Awakening.

ACT AS IF...

National leader of Assemblies of God Great Britian, John Partington, delivered an encouraging word at Champion Life Church on October 3. There have been many changes as the church recently changed its name, we are now in a fresh start, and believing the DNA of heaven is ours to possess. Pastor Paul Euliano has been motivating people to seek God for healing and seeing the supernatural come into existance.

This vision was greatly impacted and the fire in people's hearts was fueled as John shared his message "Act as if..." We are to act as if the word of God was true. It's great to be back with you. We trust that you are all pressing into the greater purposes of God for your lives both individually, and corparately with the local church you represent.

Things here in Scotland are going well. We recently just changed the name of our church from Bridgeton Life Church to Champion Life Church. The Lord gave this vision to us early this year. As we prayed it through He started to reveal to us that the people in the east end of Glasgow, which is one of the worst areas not only in Britian, but in all of Europe, have the potential for greatness in the Kingdom of God, and to be champions in their lives! We all know where we have come from in our former godless and worldly lifestylfe before we met Jesus, and where we are at now - championing the cause of Christ, because "greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world."

Hello from Scotland!

God is so good. We were priviledged to have some friends come over for a dinner two weeks ago... We would like to share a bit about their story...

We have a faithful couple in our church who has been coming along for the past two years. They struggled with their marriage when they joined the church...Through a lot of prayer and counselling God has restored their marriage and they are now loving and respecting one another again. Now God has started to restore the rest of the family... They have been believing for their unsaved adult children to come to the Lord...We have joined them in prayer for these past years...

They had lost contact with one of their daughters and after 15 years of not talking God has brought them back together again this past summer.

Their two daughters who are both in their twenties have both now received Christ in their hearts and God has significantly answered some of our prayers! We are still believing God for these girls families and partners to become Christians too...

Here are some photos of the family at our house...We invited them all...17 of all together with their children and grandchildren... Also their unsaved partners came along...It was a good opportunity to build relationships with these lovely people. Enjoy the photos!

Youth/multipurpose room construction

Hey everyone!

Hope you are all well...
Here is a "wee" update on our building projects which seem to be never ending...One step at the time the building is getting renovated and more upto date...Last few weeks we have been working on our Youth/ multipurpose room. When we took the church over three years ago, we found out that this particular room had ceiling and a wall full of dry rot and therefore had to be specially treaded. So some of the wall and ceiling had to come down in order to start fixing the problem...Praise God, that is now done, new ceiling and wall is in place and this past week we have been finishing painting the room...Next week we will lay a carpet down and finish decorating the room... Here are few photos on "before and after".

As many of you know our church building is over 100 years old and in a desperate need of decoration..Little by little we are tackling one area after another. The most current update is our sanctuary. The old pulpet had to go, so that we can get in a baptism tank... The work is not finished yet but the old pulpet is away...here are some pictures... Work in progress...

Children's VBS

God is sooo good!

We have an other team with us for a week from New York. They arrived on Tuesday the 6th July and they will be with us until Wednesday 14th July.

They are helping us organise children's VBS for three nights. Last night was our first night. Around 50 children from the community showed up. During the day the team has been evangelising and doing face painting in the local park. God has opened up some great conversations with people in the community.

Please pray that all goes well tonight and tomorrow night. Children's ministry has been one of the most fruitful ministries in our church. Parents are starting to come along to the church as they see how their children are enjoying the programme and new friendships!

Hi everyone!!

I know we have been telling you a little bit about the charity shop along the way but here is the final update with finally some photos..

We run the shop from beginning of March through 3rd July 2010.

God is so good and blessed us tremendously with the shop..Not just relationally but financially as well...

"As you sow you also reap" says the bible so we felt we had to do some sowing... Huge is the financial need we have as a church with all our construction projects etc...So it's better to trust all our burdens in His hands and do as the word says.

So we decided to "sow" some finances to a group called Fire Starters. They are even as we write in Kenya building a well in a small town and also reconstructing a roof to a church...

We were able to raise quite a bit of money for Fire Starters and also for the local community women by blessing them with a discounted rate to go to Bradford, England to a womens conference in Adundant Life Centre.

The last month of June we raised a bit over thousand pounds towards our own church projects...Praise God!

Here are pictures from the charity shop. The women who worked hard each day in the shop loved it so much that they are praying that God would give us a new shop closer to the church! Hello again!

This past Saturday, June 19th, Paul graduated with receiving his credentials for Assemblies of God Great Britain. This was a special time for his promotion, and our whole family had an opportunity to go to Mattersey Hall Bible College in England. Paul has been pursuing this for several years now with some ongoing studying. He has worked hard to accomplish his task for the Lord.

Children are an awesome part of the Kingdom of God. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them." On Sunday June 20th three children in our church were dedicated to the Lord and his purposes. We enjoy seeing Scottish people pray and give their children into the hands of God. All these little ones we had got to know through our childrens' programme on Tuesday nights and now the parents are also coming to the church. Praise the Lord!

Tinto Hill Hike

Hey everyone!

As most of you know Paul was away in America for a little over a month itenarating. Thank you for everyone for your kind hospitality and support! We appreciate you all... Heini and the kids kept the church going with a support of a great team of people in Bridgeton Life Church while Paul was away.

Paul is now back in Scotland and we are advancing the Kingdom!

Hello everyone!

This past Thursday we booked up a local restaurant

and went out to eat and fellowship as a church...

And we had so much fun... around 40 people showed up.

It was a great time to build more relationships and just relax.

No agenda, just a fun time as a "family"..

This was very needed as the past month has been very busy...

Few things that we have been up to...

We hosted a team from Texas for 10 days and organised chilcrens programme

for for four days in March.

Paul still continues the youth group on Tuesday nights after the Kids Programme has finished...

The whole front pulpet from the sanctuary has been taken down. whoa. We are intending to put in a baptism tank as the funds become available...

One of the rooms upstairs was full of dry rot...the dry rot has been treated and the walls are getting replastered in the next few weeks...

We have started an other project also called "sponsor a chair". The plan is to get the old very uncomfortable pews out and replace them with chairs...So we are collecting funds towards new chairs. Please pray that we would reach our target of 150 chairs by the end of May!

Charity Shop is going very well. We are still running it for few more months and the ladies who are involved with running it are loving it...God is so good!

These are just few of the bigger projects we have been involved in the last month. Praise God for His grace! God is so good. Paul is preparing to go to USA to itinerate for 5 weeks. He is supposed to fly out from Scotland on the 22nd April. Please pray that God would open up a door for him to travel as most of the airports are closed down with the volcano erruption. Heini will stay home with Josiah and Gloria... Your prayers are much appreciated as we will be separated for quite a few weeks.

Charity Shop

Hello from sunny Glasgow!!

It has been the most beautiful few days..No rain for almost two weeks!

We have some exciting news to share with you... This past Monday Bridgeton Life Church opened up "our own" Charity Shop! We were offered an empty shop building to use for free for three months if we wanted to take it...So of course, we took the opportunity to raise some funds.

So we are running a "wee" shop for three months, until June and raising money towards women's conference trip that is coming up in the beginning of June. We will also support a group of young people from Fire Starters, who are going to Kenya on a mission trip this coming July...And depending on how much funds we will manage to raise we will use some towards our building project in Bridgeton. We felt that this is a major time for us believing support and financies towards our own building projects and other needs we have here in Glasgow, so we thought that we will sow some seeds to missions and believe God, that we will also reap a blessing in return!

We are sending our very first "missionary" out to Kenya for three weeks, as one of the young people from our church is joining in the team in July. Praise God!

The shop has brought us together as a church with many volunteers coming along to help one way or another. Please keep praying that people would continuosly donate good clothing and household goods for us to sell and that God would bless the shop!

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

This past Tuesday, February 23rd we had our first youth group kick off. Four youth showed up, praise God! We had fun, played some games, ate some popcorn, and got to know each other. For our bible teaching we played a DVD video clip from the movie "Bruce Almighty" and related the scene where Bruce (Jim Carrey) goes to heaven and prays to God (Morgan Freeman). We included some scriptures with this and asked the kids some questions. In fact, they gave some good answers. Please note, these are youth that have never heard the stories of Jesus. They never went to church regularly like some of us who have. I (Paul) believe that only one of them still lives with both of their parents, and who knows where else they would be if we didn't open the doors on Tuesday evening for them? Only God knows where their future will wind up; and more importantly only God knows their eternal destiny.

With great intentions and a big heart, we believe that we could help a few, disciple a few, and lead a few more people closer to Jesus - so the few could one day reach more.

Jesus taught one of His first disciples Peter..."Don't be afraid; from now on you will catch men."

Bridgeton Life Church

Ps.122:1 - "I rejoiced with those who said to me, let us go to the house of the Lord."

In October 2009, I (Paul) had preached a series about having a love for the church. I believe that if there is one things God's people need today it's getting a fresh passion, fresh vision, and fresh joy for the local church. When God's people discover how the local church should function, our communities will be transformed! People will find a warm welcome at the door, and feel they are accepted, and part of something amazing for the present and the eternal. Church needs to be fun, and a life-changing experience!

Our call to Bridgeton Life Church in Glasgow, Scotland, is very similar to that heard by the Apostle Paul in Acts 16 - where in a vision he saw a man from Macedonia in Northern Greece pleading with him, "Come over here and help us!" As our mission continues to preach the gospel overseas we ask that you remember us in prayer and financial support for the Lord's work. We are praying more than ever before, "Lord, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

Merry Christmas everyone!

December is one of our favourite times of the year...All the lights, Christmas decorations and Christmas carols...the food..the presents and the fact that everywhere you go, you get reminded of our Saviour's birthday! Jesus is indeed the reason for the season! Praise God!

We have been busy with various projects this past month...

November 30th - Jesus in Song Concert - Fundraising concert to cover some of the costs for the front entrance work... The night was a great success with four different bands coming to play and almost 200 people coming along. Thank you Matt Collins and team who put the concert together!

December 12th - Light of the World Campaign, Outreach to the community - As a church we reached out to our community and handed out over 300 gift wrapped candles to our church neighbours and people in the community. This outreach is always well received by the people giving out the gifts and those receiving. We believe we exists to glorify God and reach out to those around us!

December 13th - Sunday Morning Church with Fire Starters - A group of young people from all over Scotland come and sleep over in the church once a month. They take part in our outreaches and host their own worship encounter service both Friday and Saturday nights. This weekend God moved powerfully amongst them, healing various people from their sicknesses. One example is of a person who was healed of a scar from her ear to her neck. Glory to God!

December 17th - Christmas Dinner and Carol Service - We celebrated Christmas with our church family... The night was filled with good food, fellowship and a nativity musical prepared by the worship team. This was also a great time for the church to bring non-Christians, family and friends along.

December 20th - Ladies Night - We are getting ready to get together as women of the church to have a creative night tomorrow. Two of the ladies are florists in the church and they have prepared a table decorations work shop where all the ladies who want can come and have fellowship and prepare a center piece for their Christmas tables...It should be lots of fun!

December 23rd - We are going to the U.S.A. for two weeks in Christmas!!! We are looking forward seeing all our family and friends...

Champions Youth Conference 2009

Hello Everyone!

I had a dream...Everything starts with a dream... or with a thought...

Almost ten years ago Paul had a dream about a youth conference that would reach out to the Scottish young people right here in Scotland. Something that would be of excellence, something that would absolutely change their life for God!

This dream came to pass in Champion's National Youth Conference when five Scottish youth leaders caught the same vision. They came together with Paul and invited Pastor Eric Peoples from Manchester, CT as a guest speaker to launch the very first conference last year.

And now a year later, we had our second Champions Conference.

Over 300 young people came to the conference from all over Scotland. Paul and the team have worked hard preparing for this three day conference. It was truly a success! The first night 50 people raised their hand to reconfirm their commitment to the Lord and three raised their hand for salvation. We also had many youth come down to the altar with tears in their eyes surrendering their hearts to the Lord. God showed up!

Dear family and friends,

"Rome was not build in a day" is the famous saying, which we have had to relate to a few times in the past year. As we look at the task of renovating our church, the building is over 100 years old and it has not been decorated since the 1960's. However, we are advancing one step at a time, and have gained momentum to see things change and become more up-to-date.

Here is an update how the building is being renovated...

This past week we laid a new floor in the pastor's office...

One of the big projects that we have been working on the last few weeks is the front entrance. Here is a picture before anything started.

Here the work starts. We pulled out the "old" front entrance box which was meant to keep wind and rain out. The reason for this removal was to have more room and natural light shining through. Next we took out the old ceiling to put up a stronger one. We also added new lights to make the room brighter.

A new front door is being installed in the next picture. We are praising God for the financial provision for this door. We had taken a step of faith and ordered it, believing Him for a miracle.

A few days later, after the order, we had received a message from the States that a children's ministry had sent 3,000 pounds to pay for this accessory for the front hall. This donation covered the full bill for the door. Praise God!

A new laminate floor is being installed.

After plastering all the walls, we had put a fresh touch of paint on.

We are so grateful for all who have partnered with us in this project!

Our children Josiah and Gloria are a huge part in our ministry in Scotland.

Hello Friends!

The world celebrates Halloween, we celebrated Jesus Christ through Hallelujah Party on the 31st October. We had a great night with lots of kids coming from the community. We were able to share a simple message of the gospel and play fun games and have good food...and of course we had a great time! Sunday morning one of the mum's came to church and with tears in her eyes she gave her heart to the Lord. Praise God! Thank you for praying!

Building Work

Hello Everyone!

The journey in Bridgeton Life Church is continuing full speed.

We are in the middle of church construction right in the front entrance. The old dated look from the 1960's has to go...The walls have been cracking, and the whole first "expression" when you walked in the church was very dark...

First part was to pull down the existing ceiling and cover it with the plaster board..Next is plastering, then painting, and hopefully in few weeks time we can lay down a new floor...We are excited to see the church physically and spiritually changing; reaching higher and going stronger each week.

There is much to do but we are taking one step at the time, together as a church...As the saying goes, "Rome was not build over night..." We are learning to be patient with the work. Thank you for your faithful support to us, and please keep us in prayer as our goal is to have the front entrance decorated by the end of November when we will be hosting a special concert for the community.

Please pray for us also as we are preparing for our annual Hallelujah party on the 31st October 2009.

Celebration Sunday! God is so good and so faithful! Thank you for praying!

The 30th August we had a baptism service where three people were baptised,
Robert, Clayton and Christine! The day was filled with joy and excitement.

Robert is a single man who we had met just few weeks ago in one of our outreaches in Bridgeton Cross. He is hungry for God and taking steps to see his life changed. Please pray for Robert as he continues his walk of faith and believes freedom from his past addictions!

Clayton and Christine gave their lives to the Lord in May when God supernaturally healed Clayton's back. The Lord has been doing a work in their lives and in their children's lives. Please keep them in prayer as they pursue their destiny in God.

Relationship with the Lord needs to be real...

Church needs to be relevant to our lives and filled with joy! Let's not give up but press on. We are winners as long as we don't give up...No matter how many times we fall, we get up and keep going. Praise God for His amazing grace!

Kids Programme

Hello from Scotland!

In the beginning of August we were priviledged to have a team from New Jersey with us for few days. We had a great time reaching out to the children and families of Glasgow. Over 70 children came to our kids programme and most of them received Jesus into their hearts!

Praise God!

Please keep praying for all these seeds that were planted. We are continuing our weekly children's programme every Tuesday night. Please pray that the Lord would send more people into our paths who would have a heart to work with children... The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. These children have a special place in our hearts, many of them come from broken homes and many have suffered from abuse. We want to bring healing through the love of Christ into these little beautiful hearts.

Hey everyone!

Since April 2009, once a month, we have got together as a church to fellowship over a meal, to worship, pray, take communion and hear God's Word. These nights have turned out to be a real success. Month after month new people come and join us for a meal and get to meet new friends...

Acts 2:42 says, "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." That's where the name Connection 242 comes from...

We are truly a church that likes to fellowship with one another and build an atmosphere of church unity and devotion...

Hello friends!

Over the summer we have been hosting on Thursday nights a Rock Solid Class that is a basic discipleship class for everyone growing in God. We have had a great time and people are indeed learning about the bible. Some great conversations and questions have sparked up...Praise God!

Over this year we have been doing a marriage counselling to a couple who have been struggling for the past 10 years of their marriage. This past Sunday they came up front and testified how God has restored their marriage and they are in love again! Wow! God is so faithful.

Family Fun Day

Hello Partners!

Life in Scotland is moving forward and we are excited to tell you the good news about our Family Fun day! On Saturday, May 16 over 100 people came to our family fun day held for Bridgeton Life Church and our community folk.

It was a beautiful dry day (which is sometimes hard to get in rainy Scotland), and lives were exposed to a great Christian atmosphere where impact was made through music and dance, relationship building, offered prayer to people, and continual up dates of what is going on in the church!

This outreach allowed people and families to come in from the community, and see Christians who are normal and love to have fun, be adventurous, laugh, and build the Kingdom of God with passionate hearts, expressing the love of Christ! We offered free bar-b-que, face painting, balloons, bouncy castle, and some competition sports, for people to get involved in. It was a great day!

Well, it’s great to be with you again. We want you to know that we are thinking and praying for our supporting partners on a regular basis. God is a God who answers prayer, and we believe that He will come through in your situation according to what His will is. God wants His people blessed!

Lots of things have been going on in Bridgeton Life Church, in Glasgow City, Scotland, UK. From May 1 – May 11 we had a construction team from Dudley, Massachusetts come our way. It was a great time, and we are now miles down the road with the work they have done.

They removed two old rooms in the sanctuary as well as removing a big wooden structure in our front entry hall (this really opened and brightened things up for us). In addition, they added a new sound system in our upper balcony, and also put up a new radiator system in our two upper floors – we now have a building that is fully heated, Praise God for that! Plastering, painting and interior decorating was also added to their 10 days of long and hard labor which was greatly needed. Our whole bottom floor is just about completely redecorated, and is looking superb! We are looking forward to some more great days ahead of seeing this building come to a completed work of excellence!

How is everybody doing? We hope and pray that you are well. We are always thinking of our church family in the states, and miss you all dearly. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Life in Scotland has been growing pains for us personally and as a church. We are still doing our “Power House Kids Hour” on Tuesday nights, and we also have two “Encounter” church services during the week; one on Thursday evening and our normal Sunday morning service. Also, once a month on a Saturday we are working the harvest field in our area releasing the gospel through random acts of kindness. Please be praying with us for God to send us children’s and youth leaders to come our way.

Praise Report/ Family Life: We baptized 13 people on Sunday, February 15. It was a great time to see new believers step out in faith in their commitment to the Lord!

Lastly, we thank God for our children Josiah (4) and Gloria (3) that they our sharing this adventurous journey along the way in Scotland. Josiah enjoys playing with His Lightening McQueen cars, European football and eating chocolate ice cream. Gloria is a typical little girl who likes to play with her Barbie Dolls, put on princess dresses and eat strawberry ice cream. Their favorite movie at this time is Madagascar.

Vacation Bible School in Scotland!

Thank you for praying: We would like to give you a praise report. On July 7 & 8, we had a children's outreach with the New Jersey team. We had 58 kids show up on the Tuesday evening and along with several parents that had watched the 2 day event. Lives were impacted greatly. We are still continuing VBS this week with the team from Apple Valley Worship Center. Praise God tonight 3 of the parents gave their lives to Jesus and around 20 children did too! Let's keep praying for the rest of the week to go all out with Kingdom impact!

Power House Kids Hour

Praise God, this past Tuesday we had an other successful night with the kids...We had over 30 kids turn up and they were very focussed as we told them about Easter. It has been great to see new faces come along. We are especially praying for their parents that they would all come to church...We have had an opportunity to have few of them over for a dinner or just other relationship building time, but we are believing for a real breakthrough in this area. Also please keep praying for the coming Saturday, we will have an Easter Egg Hunt - outreach to the children and their families.

Here are few pictures from two weeks ago from the Kids Hour. We decorated the childrens room by every child painting their picture on the wall. The kids had fun and the room got an uplift...Like the other parts of the building the childrens room is needing decoration in the future...Praise God - all things are in His hand.

Hi from Scotland! Praise God - Church of the Living God in Manchester, CT sent a team to help us out with the church renovations. It has been like a breath of fresh air to have the team around. They are doing a great job. They are renovating the coffee room that we use all the time for fellowship and Bible studies...Enjoy the pics.God is so good!

Dear friends and family!

It has been a while since we last wrote...Lots of awesome things have happened, praise God! One of the highlights would be our baptism service in December 2007. All together 11 people got baptised. We are so encouraged to see what God is doing in peoples lives.

One of the children from the Kids Hour (our children's programme)got baptised together with his mom. His mom had been so encouraged to see what God was doing in her son's life that she came to our Alpha course..At the end of the Alpha she accepted Jesus in her heart and now her and her sister both come regularly to church..and she did get baptised same time as her son Joseph! God will use even children to bring their parents to God!

Jesus is so good! Let's believe that the year 2008 will be great!

Hello everyone!

This past Thursday, 20th September, we hosted our first Alpha dinner. Praise God, through leaflets and personal invitations we had 23 people come. Most of the people were either just new christians or curious people wanting to know what Christianity is all about. Thank you for all of you who have been praying - and please continue to pray that all the new people will come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour through these next 10 weeks of Alpha.

Power House - Kids Hour

Hello Everyone! God is so good. We are excited what God is doing among the children in Glasgow. Every Tuesday night we get together in 'Power House Kids Hour'. There are 20-30 kids that come faithfully each week. All children coming are from the community around the church, all non church kids. They are learning how to worship God and are excited about it! Praise Jesus! Please keep praying for our Tuesday nights, and that we get more helpers to work with the Harvest that is plentiful.

Hey everyone! Sorry we have had some technical difficulties to get our blog working, but we are back in business! Since we last updated our blog, lots of awesome things have happened!

Most of you have heard that we were given a church building and we are now revitalizing a church in East side of Glasgow city. The church is called Life Church. We believe that God wants to reach the people of Scotland with the message of hope and deliverance. Scotland, with its rich history of revival, is now a land of hopelessness and darkness. With only 2% of it’s 5.1 million people attending church on any given Sunday, hundreds of churches have closed within the past few years. Many of the churches have been acquired and reopened as recreational facilities, nightclubs and mosques...

The transition happened in the end of April and almost right away we came to America for the month of June to raise more awareness of what has been happening in Scotland.

We had a great trip back in the States. New contacts were made and we felt that the trip was a success. Our wheels have been spinning since we got back. Meeting with people from the church, connecting with the children and doing outreach to the community has brought us into a new level of pastoral leadership. Almost right after when we arrived back to Scotland we hosted a team of 11 people from Arkansas. We had a very successful week. The team organised a children crusade on three days, and on the fourth day we did a family day in a small park area right behind the church building. Praise God, about 20 kids gave their lives to the Lord for the very first time in their lives! On Saturday there were about 50 kids just playing and having fun on our family fun day. It was a great way to meet some of the parents.

Well, we have taken quite a few minutes of your time as you have been reading our blog. We appreciate your time and ask that you would keep us in your prayers as we continue our new exploits in Scotland.

HELLO From Scotland!

-God is good! In January we had started looking to buy a house, and we finally were able to purchase our own. This is a great change from renting. We will be moving into it on Monday, April 16. We are looking forward to that!

-At Harvest we are preparing for Hamilton's largest Easter Egg hunt. We will be in a local park doing games and giving out food and prizes. We have 5,000 Easter Eggs, and will use this day as an evangelistic outreach raising the awareness of Harvest Christian Fellowship and the love of Jesus.

Please pray for April 7th when this event will take place.

-The youth are doing well. Our youth 'life crew' bible study is flourishing. We have had a lot of positive feedback from parents. One parent saw her 12 year old praying in her bedroom crying out to God on her own. Another parent said that their two teenage girls would not be where they are at with God if it wasn't for IMPACT Student Ministries. This is only because of God, and we give Him all the glory for it.

Another Win!

Praise God, we have another successful 'Second Saturday' report. On Saturday, February 10 we had done several outreaches. A group of people went to the shopping plaza and handed out 500 free roses (along with drinks and donuts), another went into a parking garage and payed for 100 peoples' parking fee. If that is not enough, we also had a work crew putting a garden in at our rented church office. This really made an impression on the office management and general office workers.

2nd Saturday’s ministries is all about reaching people through practical acts of kindness with expressions of God’s love. We desire to see people live their dreams, and make better decisions in life. Three primary goals are to mobilize people and build church confidence, bless the city, and create a “buzz” that people know there is an active, fun, Spirit filled church that they can be part of. Reaching the community is something for the entire family to be involved in (old and young, small groups, children, youth etc.). There are no limitations for who can be part of this ministry outreach. Some of the things that our 2nd Saturday’s teams love to do are gift hand outs, clean the city, gardening, painting and decorating, etc.

2nd Saturday's January 2007/ Life Groups

Dear friends, it's great to be back with you. WOW! January has been exciting with new things happening!

This past January 13th we had our 2nd Saturday's outreach that turned out to be a great success. We launched out three different teams to invade the town of Hamilton with practical acts of kindness. One team did a free car cleaning service, the second team payed for drinks and cookies in the local Subway restaurant, and the third team payed for people's car parking in the local parking garage. This was a blessing to everyone who gave and received on that day! Praise God for His goodness!

We have also started a marriage life group in our home. Every Tuesday evening we come together with couples from our church who are interested in marriage growth. It's been a time to invest biblical life truths into the heart of God's people.

Lastly, we started 'Life Crews' which is geared toward our youth ministry. We are going all out to make an IMPACT that is going to last forever. This is practicing Acts 2:42: devoting ourselves to the apostles teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer. Youth come together Monday nights and Saturday mornings for 'all out' bible study, prayer, and fellowship.

Hello everybody - Happy New Year!

We have had some technical problems trying to update this blog, so sorry that the news are coming out a bit late..We had a wonderful Christmas season. Our outreach to the town centre was excellent. Harvest and few other churches in Hamilton joined together and we handed out 500 'Christmas pies', traditional Scottish sweets, and the response from the people was very good. Here is a picture of some of the church members singing christmas carols during the outreach. So, thank you for praying! God's love touched many people this Christmas.

The Christmas day was nice and pretty relaxing. Josiah loved opening up he gifts and Gloria was more interested in the wrapping paper. Now we are getting back into the normal routine. Paul is taking some youth to a fun outing today, since they are still off from school.

We are believing that this year 2007 will be an extraordinary year - as far as seeing God's power move! Be encouraged - God is so good.

Merry Christmas!

Hello Everybody! We had an exciting time this past week-end..A group of us headed to a local community and we handed out 750 small gift-wrapped candles with a Merry Christmas card from our church. We knocked peoples doors and how exciting it was to see peoples happy and surprised faces..They just could not believe that we did not want any money for the candles..We wanted people to know - this gift is free and so is God's Love.

We want to wish you all a wonderful christmas time. Remember to rest in the middle of all the busyness. Enjoy all your family and friends - gifts that God has given you.

Please be praying for us as we are doing a big outreach in the town centre this Saturday. We will be handing out free coffee and doughnuts to everybody and free roses to ladies. We have asked other churches from the town to participate in this event. Pray that the people from the town will be touched by God's love through this practical acts of kindness and eventually find their way to the church. Also, please pray for church unity amongst different denominations.

Wow, time flies!

It was great to see everybody while we were in the States in October. We just celebrated a wonderful Thanksgiving with a few of our international friends. Scotland doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving, so we had our dinner on Friday, Paul's day off.
