Pastor Dave & Marsha Mullen's visit to Scotland (April 26-30, 2013)

We had a lovely time together - enjoying the fellowship & sharing life stories.
Drawing on Pastor Dave & Marsha's wisdom & knowledge will never be forgotten.
Pastor Dave preaching from Luke 15 - The Prodigal Son.
An in season message for the church.
Pastor Dave & Marsha pray God's blessings over
Champion Life Church - what a special time for them
to see lasting fruit of what they have sown into others.
After our Sunday morning church service we went back
to our house with 14 of our leaders. Lunch was served, then Pastor Dave & Marsha
imparted their leadership experiences to us. They left us with powerful
insights on how to be effective church leaders, how to continue to grow spiritually,
and keep on track with what God has planned for our lives. There encouragement
came at a perfect time for where we are at right now.
THANK YOU PASTOR DAVE & MARSHA FOR BEING SUCH LOVING,
FAITHFUL AND GENEROUS SPIRITUAL LEADERS, TEACHERS AND
PARENTS IN THE KINDGOM OF GOD!
YOU BOTH CARRY SUCH A LARGE CAPACITY OF THE FATHER'S
PRESENCE, AND A KINGLY ANOINTING THAT WILL CONTINUE TO
IMPACT MANY GENERATIONS OF GOD'S PEOPLE.
YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN IN SCOTLAND!

LOVE,
CHAMPION LIFE CHURCH!

Hello Everyone!

Sunday 14th April was a glorious Sunday - Baptism Sunday!

Here are some photos...We baptised 12 people, one of them was our own precious daughter Gloria!
God is so good! One of the people who got baptised, received Jesus into his heart the same Sunday! As he saw others getting baptised, he asked if he could get baptised too...

Paul introducing the service. We used a friend of ours church, as we still dont have our own baptism tank...It will be one of the projects we are planning to complete this year...

Eleanor is one of the first youth who ever came to church...She has been coming to the church for the past five years now. None of her family comes to church but she has found her faith in Jesus and is faithfully committed in coming on her own.

Jacqueline is another one of the young people who came to know the Lord through our Kids Hour on Tuesday nights...She now comes as a helper, and is very faithful in coming to church even though none of her family believes. Please keep praying for all our young believers! And that their families would come to know the Lord too.

Caprice became a Christian in December 2012 and has been very regular attender of the church ever since! Neither her family knows the Lord, so please keep her in your prayers too!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter Everyone!

We had a great service today at church. God's presence was tangible in our midst. The first part of the service was in the church at 11am -12pm...After that we took church on the street. Many people from the church congregation joined us for an Easter Celebration at the Bridgeton Cross (town centre). We sang praise songs and people gave testimonies of how God has changed their lives. We also served hot soup and gave out 100 chocolate Easter Eggs! Great Day!!

New Office

Hello Friends!

How are you? We pray and trust that all is well with you and your families. We would like to let you know that we are well in Scotland, and God is at work in our lives. We can't thank everybody enough for all of your prayers and financial support to our missionary work in the city of Glasgow.
The following are a few photos of the start of our new office conversion that we will aim to complete by April of this year. These two rooms, an old kitchen and a storage room will be changed into a new office...This will enable us to get things done more efficiently in church. Feel free to keep up with this project... Some photos of the original stage of the rooms...

                                                       Kitchen and Storage Room...

The old separating wall between the rooms has been taken down and
old ceiling has been taken down...

As you can see, we have our work cut out for us...

Here - new insulation for the ceiling!

Merry Christmas!

We love Christmas...It is such a fun season of the year..hearing Christmas carols at the stores, hearing our saviours name being celebrated through out the country..It is wonderful!

This December we are doing many things to love our city! Please keep praying for these following events...

Saturday 8th December....Outreach at a local supermarket Tesco..We are doing an interactive Nativity Play with a group of young people called "Fire Starters"...( This is a great answer to prayer that Tesco will let us do that inside the store!) We will also be leafleting around the houses and handing out Christmas cards and candles to our neighbours...

Christmas Hampers...as many of you know that we have been fund raising money through our Champions Charity Shop...(It is going great!) This money is helping us to make up Christmas hampers to the elderly and people struggling this Christmas...We are making over 100 hampers...Before Christmas we will be delivering these to people in the community. Please keep praying that this practical acts of kindness will also bear much spiritual fruit and people will feel the love of Christ through our actions...

Friday, December 21st...Talent Show...We are having fun as a church and organising our annual talent show. Last year we had so much fun at this event with people showing of their talents that we decided to make it as an annual celebration...Again, we are believing that as people come along to have fun with us more new people will be added to our church family!

Christmas Eve, December 24th...We are doing a Candle Light Service and the children performing their Christmas Nativity Play...

Please pray that God will make us fruitful in these various outreaches that we are doing... Our heart is to be a blessing! Thank you for all your support!

Love, Paul, Heini, Josiah and Gloria

Kids Carnival

Hello Everyone!

Hope you are all doing well...Here are few updates on what has been happening in Champion Life Church.

On October 31st we organised a Community Outreach Event, Kids Carnival, providing an alternative to the "Halloween" celebrations...We had lots of fun, no scary costumes and 198 children from the community to come out (plus their parents..The house was full of people!!)! We had hired a Christian magician who was able to share the gospel in a fun and interesting way... all the children were totally focussed as he shared his faith while doing great tricks...

We are continuing working with the community and reaching out to the parents as they bring their children to the kids programme on every Tuesday night. Recently we have opened "a coffee room" for the parents who come and drop their children to "Kids Hour"...We offer donuts and coffee and a relaxed space to chill while the children are having fun in their activities! Few of the parents have already come along...It has been lovely to make new connections with our community! Please keep praying for this outreach!

Blessings, Paul and Heini
