Can Church be fun?

We are teaching to the people of Bridgeton that Church indeed can be fun!

Relationship with the Lord needs to be real...

Church needs to be relevant to our lives and filled with joy! Let's not give up but press on. We are winners as long as we don't give up...No matter how many times we fall, we get up and keep going. Praise God for His amazing grace!

Please keep us in prayer as we will have a baptism service this coming Sunday the 30th August 2009.

Kids Programme

Hello from Scotland!


In the beginning of August we were priviledged to have a team from New Jersey with us for few days. We had a great time reaching out to the children and families of Glasgow. Over 70 children came to our kids programme and most of them received Jesus into their hearts!


Praise God!

Please keep praying for all these seeds that were planted. We are continuing our weekly children's programme every Tuesday night. Please pray that the Lord would send more people into our paths who would have a heart to work with children... The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. These children have a special place in our hearts, many of them come from broken homes and many have suffered from abuse. We want to bring healing through the love of Christ into these little beautiful hearts.

Connection 242

Hey everyone!

Since April 2009, once a month, we have got together as a church to fellowship over a meal, to worship, pray, take communion and hear God's Word. These nights have turned out to be a real success. Month after month new people come and join us for a meal and get to meet new friends...

Acts 2:42 says, "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." That's where the name Connection 242 comes from...

We are truly a church that likes to fellowship with one another and build an atmosphere of church unity and devotion...

Hello friends!

Over the summer we have been hosting on Thursday nights a Rock Solid Class that is a basic discipleship class for everyone growing in God. We have had a great time and people are indeed learning about the bible. Some great conversations and questions have sparked up...Praise God!

Over this year we have been doing a marriage counselling to a couple who have been struggling for the past 10 years of their marriage. This past Sunday they came up front and testified how God has restored their marriage and they are in love again! Wow! God is so faithful.

On a personal note, Josiah and Gloria had their first riding lesson...They really loved it!

We are doing well. The summer has been great in Scotland. A lot less rain than normal...

Family Fun Day

Hello Partners!

Life in Scotland is moving forward and we are excited to tell you the good news about our Family Fun day! On Saturday, May 16 over 100 people came to our family fun day held for Bridgeton Life Church and our community folk.

It was a beautiful dry day (which is sometimes hard to get in rainy Scotland), and lives were exposed to a great Christian atmosphere where impact was made through music and dance, relationship building, offered prayer to people, and continual up dates of what is going on in the church!

This outreach allowed people and families to come in from the community, and see Christians who are normal and love to have fun, be adventurous, laugh, and build the Kingdom of God with passionate hearts, expressing the love of Christ! We offered free bar-b-que, face painting, balloons, bouncy castle, and some competition sports, for people to get involved in. It was a great day!

Well, it’s great to be with you again. We want you to know that we are thinking and praying for our supporting partners on a regular basis. God is a God who answers prayer, and we believe that He will come through in your situation according to what His will is. God wants His people blessed!

Lots of things have been going on in Bridgeton Life Church, in Glasgow City, Scotland, UK. From May 1 – May 11 we had a construction team from Dudley, Massachusetts come our way. It was a great time, and we are now miles down the road with the work they have done.

They removed two old rooms in the sanctuary as well as removing a big wooden structure in our front entry hall (this really opened and brightened things up for us). In addition, they added a new sound system in our upper balcony, and also put up a new radiator system in our two upper floors – we now have a building that is fully heated, Praise God for that! Plastering, painting and interior decorating was also added to their 10 days of long and hard labor which was greatly needed. Our whole bottom floor is just about completely redecorated, and is looking superb! We are looking forward to some more great days ahead of seeing this building come to a completed work of excellence!

February Update

How is everybody doing? We hope and pray that you are well. We are always thinking of our church family in the states, and miss you all dearly. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Life in Scotland has been growing pains for us personally and as a church. We are still doing our “Power House Kids Hour” on Tuesday nights, and we also have two “Encounter” church services during the week; one on Thursday evening and our normal Sunday morning service. Also, once a month on a Saturday we are working the harvest field in our area releasing the gospel through random acts of kindness. Please be praying with us for God to send us children’s and youth leaders to come our way.

Praise Report/ Family Life: We baptized 13 people on Sunday, February 15. It was a great time to see new believers step out in faith in their commitment to the Lord!

Lastly, we thank God for our children Josiah (4) and Gloria (3) that they our sharing this adventurous journey along the way in Scotland. Josiah enjoys playing with His Lightening McQueen cars, European football and eating chocolate ice cream. Gloria is a typical little girl who likes to play with her Barbie Dolls, put on princess dresses and eat strawberry ice cream. Their favorite movie at this time is Madagascar.
